Curated Exhibits
I have had the opportunity to curate and coordinate quite a few exhibits over the last few years. These are some of my personal favorites.
DIGS SEXISM IN THE ARTS
Women in different stages of their career, and their lives, creating artwork based on sexism and how it intersects with age and/or race. This powerful exhibition shares personal stories and observations about sexism, and how it connects with all of these factors.
ARTISTS IMAGE RESOURCE, 518 Foreland St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212

This exhibition does contain graphic material. Parental discretion is advised. Click on the link below to view the exhibition in it's entirety. I am also proud to announce that during this exhibition, Virtual Docent was introduced and used. Brought to you by Andy Johanson andyjohanson.com/
Virtual Docent is an immersive 360° interactive virtual art gallery experience that works in tandem with brick-and-mortar gallery exhibitions and can also be utilized solely as a stand-alone virtual gallery exhibit. The gallery interface allows viewers to explore an entire gallery and its contents 24 hours a day, every day of the year, all from the Web.
Utilizing navigational hotspots, gallery and artist "information cards", embedded audio and video, viewers can experience a complete docent-like, guided tour. Viewers can observe artwork at their own pace at a gigapixel level with the ability to zoom in and examine artwork details, textures, and composition elements from afar, as well as up close - millimeters from the works on display.
