What people are saying...

Norman Brown - Artist

I would like to extend my sincere and loving thanks to Carolyn Pierotti of Purple Room Fine Arts for allowing me to be one of the artists that she represents. I have only experienced professional, unselfish and positive feedback  from her  in reference to my artwork. I have never promoted my own work to the extent that she has promoted it through her business. She increases my self esteem with her praises.  I am continuously impressed with her curating skills of my personal work in the exhibit that she has set up for me and with the works of other artists' exhibits that I have had the pleasure of viewing.  I highly recommend her to all artists in the Pittsburgh area who are looking for someone to assist them in getting additional exposure for their work.

Jeff Rose, CEO/Publisher LOCALArts/LOCAL Magazine Pittsburgh

Over the past year I have gotten to know CP both professionally and as a friend. In launching LOCALarts she has been a great source of knowledge and provided direction for us. Her understanding of the local art scene is amazing and she has been able to give us insight as both an artist and a professional who consults with art collectors and the individual artists. She is one of my “go to” gurus when I need help or advice.

Petra Fallaux guest juror / curator Pittsburgh Society of Artists

"Working with Carolyn Pierotti is always a delight. Her positive, can-do attitude is infectious.  She is very responsive and responsible and works with great attention to all the details.  Above all, she is a great deal of fun and her sense of humor brightens any project she puts her mind to."

Daniel Childs (Owner) - Chromos Eyewear

Purple Room Fine Art and Carolyn Pierotti have been instrumental in helping to get the gallery space at Chromos Eyewear rolling! I wanted to have art in my store with no direction and to be honest not much knowledge of the local art scene. Carolyn has been a tremendous resource and has brought awesome exhibitions to the store. She is extremely professional and caters the needs of my store specifically to the artists she brings in. Her attention to detail and preparation for shows is something to be admired. We couldn't have our art space without Purple Room Fine Art and are grateful for everything!'

Phiris Sickels - Artist

Carolyn Pierotti ‘s Purple Room Fine Art is a unique service for artists.  Carolyn works with local businesses to offer them an opportunity to have regional artists exhibit original art in their offices.  Purple Room services were offered to me by my friend and local artist, Carolyn Pierotti.  She worked with Capristo Salon and Wellness Spa to stage an exhibit of my watercolor paintings in their business on Ellsworth Avenue in Shadyside. She did a very professional job of promoting, scheduling, displaying and arranging a wonderful opening reception.  Carolyn did it all so well.  We had a large audience for our opening and two sales were made that night!  Carolyn’s business is to connect regional artists to local businesses who appreciate original art.  I wish her much success!

Marlene P. Boas, Ph.D.

For the past three years I have had the pleasure of working with Carolyn Pierotti as a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists' exhibition committee, which she chaired, and most recently with Purple Room Fine Arts. Carolyn is the consummate professional blending her innate creativity with outstanding organizational and communication skills. She is efficient and effective at managing projects and does whatever it takes to ensure their success. In addition, she is easy to work with and her dynamic personality is an asset in motivating and inspiring others. I always welcome an opportunity to work with Carolyn!

William DeBernardi, M.F.A., Associate Professor, Art Department, Carlow University

For the past two years Carolyn Pierotti has worked at Carlow University in the capacity of a student mentor for the Art Department. Her knowledge and ability to communicate to the students has been a very valuable asset to the university. She has presented lectures to various classes and to the university at large about her artwork and also about the various pathways for art students after graduation. She has always produced a professional and engaging presentation.

I also worked with Ms. Pierotti when I juried the 2013 Annual Exhibition of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists. She was serving as the chair of exhibitions for the association at that time. I was impressed with her organizational skills and her high level of professionalism. It was very clear that she was well prepared to create a smooth process for the exhibiting artists and the juror.
In conclusion, I have found Carolyn Pierotti’s organizational skills and her ability to clearly articulate her ideas in both her roles as a mentor and the exhibition chair of the PSA to be of the highest level.
